My name is João Paulo — I know what you’re thinking: it’s kinda hard to pronounce, right?! But it’s the Brazilian equivalent to “John Paul” in English, so feel free to call whatever you’d like 

I’m a proud Carioca, born and raised in the wonderful city of Rio de Janeiro — where I still live in the present day. I’ve been tutoring English to Brazilians for about 5 years now and Portuguese to foreigners for about a year.

Languages have always been a big passion of mine. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve been fascinated by the way people communicate around the world. I’m a self-taught English and Spanish speaker, studied French for two years in college, and recently started learning Italian — because why not add one more to the list, right?

I love connecting with people from different cultures and helping them learn in a fun, relaxed, and engaging way. I truly believe that learning a language should be something you enjoy, not something you stress about.

I currently live in the capital of Alagoas, Maceió, which is in the northest of Brazil. Even though I was born in the capital of Rio de Janeiro and raised in the countryside of the same state, before I moved to Maceió I have lived in the city of Maringá - Paraná state - for 7 years, where I graduated in LETRAS - English Language and Literature from the State University of Maringá. I enjoy sports, music, animals, cinema, beaches, literature as well as learning/researching subjects that are interesting to me.

Hi everyone! My name's Gabriel and I'm from São Paulo. I was born there but I currently live in a town called Limeira, also in the state of São Paulo. I lived in Bristol, England between 2009 and 2013 and that's how I learned the language. In 2014, I started teaching English as a second language and fell in love with it! It's already been over 11 years since then. Now I've got a new challenge which is teaching Portuguese to you guys, and I couldn't be more excited about it!

I'm 36 years old, I live in Campinas, a city in the countryside of the state of São Paulo, and I have a dog who is my little darling, Bartolomeu.

I've been teaching English since 2013. I've worked at language schools, regular schools, both in-person and online, and taught children and adults alike. I’ve had many academic experiences and I cherish each one of them.

I had many opportunities to develop my teaching skills in Special Needs Education, and I fell in love with teaching in a way that respects each student’s needs—tailoring classes based on their authenticity and using methodologies that help each individual reach their goals.

I'm currently studying Letras – Português e Inglês (Portuguese and English Teaching and Literatures degree), and I've been working as an online language teacher for about two years now.
